#2 Product of the DayOctober 10, 2018

Do your standup calls take more than 15 minutes? Standuply solves it this way:

1. It gathers standup inputs via Slack.

2. Then all answers are shared with the team.

3. On schedule everyone gets a link to join a video call (no installation, thanks daily.co).

Benefits:

✅ a team is prepared;

✅ calls start automatically;

✅ time is saved;

Voila 👏

Reviews

  • Pros:

    Amazing configurability, super clean Slack integration

    Cons:

    None

    We use Standuply twice a day for efficient team check-ins. We love the easy but powerful scheduling and the ability to control what questions are asked at each check-in and how the results are summarized.

    Pros:

    Fast, effortless, and smart scheduling options.

    Cons:

    None

    This definitely makes for more efficient, more effective standups. Also supports remote team culture.

    - We run on Slack, so the prompts are great. No need to go somewhere else, or remember to do the check-in. It gets done.

    - The scheduling flexibility is great! We schedule an asynchronous morning check-in. Very useful for a remote team, where it's important to support everyone, and have them feel in sync. And then we do a quick afternoon report, to prep for the live standup. Great tool 👏

Hey, Product Hunt 🎉 Alex is here along with @artem_borodin, co-founders of Standuply.com, the #1 Slack bot for Project Management. It serves thousands of customers including Slack, IBM, Adobe and other great companies. Today we prepared something extraordinary for you guys 😎 If you run standups via video conferencing and they take too much of your team’s time, here’s why it happens: ❌ team members come unprepared; ❌ it takes time to initiate every call; ❌ unrelated discussions arise; We know how to solve that (Artem taught 500 managers on Project Management classes in between working on Standuply). Here’s the step-by-step guide: 1️⃣ Configure Standuply to gather standup meeting agenda before a video call, so that team members start thinking about their progress and obstacles in the first place. 2️⃣ Let Standuply share all the answers with team members so everyone reads them before the meeting and can prepare questions and comments right away. 3️⃣ At a scheduled time send a link to everyone to join a video conference call via daily.co (no installation required). Sounds like a complicated setup? But what if I tell you that it will take less than 2 minutes to configure it all and put your standups on autopilot. Imagine the ROI: 2 minutes spent, hundreds of hours saved 👍 Check it out and let us know what you think. Cheers, Alex CEO of Standuply
