@vibram, an Italian company in the industry of footwear, has created a solution that can harvest energy with a simple walk.
#Vibram and #InStepnanopower, a US company that works in the field of nanotechnology, launched the Hero project, a shoe that charges smartphone while walking. This system, perfectly inserted in the midsole of the shoe, can generate up to a maximum of 3 watts of power, with the only effect of regular walking. The device, capable of generating 1 Watt of continuous power, then enables an 8 Wh accumulation for a walk of approximately 8 hours.
