So... I LOVE Southern food (grew up in SC and VA) and i'm Vegetarian.... Makes it tough but so happy to have found this Chef and his books. Since it's the New Year it's a time in many Southern families to prepare some specific dishes (Greens, Black-Eyed Peas, Cornbread) to celebrate together, so I thought I would share it with you all so you can enjoy the traditions of Soul Food in a healthy way ;D

We cook using this book and it is spot on stuff. The black-eyed peas recipe is among the best. The recipes are economical to make and full of spicy goodness.
