Thanks for posting and congrats on the launch of UXDI, Andre! For those who don't know, Andre is the creator of the UXDI at General Assembly. He previously was an instructional designer at Apple. Andre, how do you think about training people to wear the many hats modern designers need to wear in a startup environment? How do you decide what to cover in the course?

Excited to be here to answer everyone's questions! @nbashaw, that's honestly one of the toughest parts of putting UXDI together. The first thing we did was to really put our ears to the ground and speak to as many UX designers, founders, and hiring managers as possible. We learned about what they look for in entry-level UX designers (from hard skills, to soft skills, and even culture fit) and made sure to address all of them in the program. Given the immersive opportunity, the program addresses those needs through classes, project workshops, guest speakers & talks, and even field trips and social events. Ultimately, we want our graduates leaving the program with the right skills, strong portfolios, and a passion for UX that will help them succeed and keep moving forward.
