Hey hey everyone! 🎉 💸 80% OFF first month: PH80 (only valid this weekend) 💬 OR comment with your niche keyword and I will share the results here today Every day, hundreds of thousands of domains expire. If you’ve ever searched for some, you know how frustrating it can be when you keep scrolling through pages for hours, testing endless keyword combinations, only to come up empty-handed. That’s where UpSnatch comes in. We process domain data from registrars (e.g., GoDaddy, Namecheap), assign ratings, assess spam, check backlinks, and more. But our mission is to go one step further: build smart tools to help you find the domains that truly matter, fast. 🪄 Magic Search • 🧠 Smart Search: Search "dog care" and discover niche domains like puppygrooming.io or canine-wellness.com • 🧙 Contextual Synonyms: Search "cheap laptops" and find domains like affordable-notebooks.com" or budget-friendly-computers.shop • 🌍 Multilingual: Search "dog" and find results like "le-chien.com" (French for "dog"). Supports 100+ languages, including English, French, and Swahili! ✨ Curated Listings: • Brandable Domains: Short, one-word gems perfect for startups. • SEO Powerhouses: Aged domains with strong backlinks and authority. • High-Traffic Domains: Domains with existing visitors. • Investment Opportunities: Aged domains currently in auctions. ⭐ Smart Metrics: • Smart Domain Rating: A quick star rating based on key metrics. • Spam Quality Score: Helps identify domains with bad backlink profiles or past abuse. 🎯 Who is this for? • 🌟 SEO Pros: Perfect for 301 redirects or ranking boosts • 🚀 Startups: Find brandable, memorable domains • 💼 Domain Investors: Spot high-resale-value domains • 📣 Digital Marketers: Discover unique domains for campaigns • ✍️ Content Creators: Build blogs or niche sites with traffic • 🛠️ PBN Builders: Clean, authoritative domains for networks • 💸 Affiliate Marketers: Start with traffic-ready domains • 🛍️ E-commerce: Secure domains that connect with your audience 🔥 What’s Next? • 📡 Adding more sources and dropped domains • 📬 Daily notifications for new domains • 📍 Geolocation tools for local SEO and businesses We're launching MVP now, but we're super excited about the features in the backlog. I’ve personally picked up several great domains using UpSnatch. It’s been a game-changer for me. It's remarkable how many great domains go unnoticed, ending in oblivion or overpriced resale. Now’s the best time to catch them before they’re gone! If you want to test yourself: 80% OFF first month coupon: PH80 (only valid this weekend) Or, leave a comment with your niche keyword and I will share the results here today Would LOVE your thoughts, feedback, and ideas! 🚀

💡 Bright idea
@nickvanderhoven So here a report from my first usage: * Sign-up worked well (thanks for the discount!) * I think the UI is really nice My tests with Magic Search: Search for "Search engine for mobile apps": * It did return mostly somewhat relevant domains, however the default Relevance sort did not seem very good to me, and irrelevant and barely relevant results were included, e.g. the 3rd result was "autosearchusa.com" * What's the difference between "relevance" and "top picks" * What does the star rating indicate? * Sort and filter seemed to work well (stars filter should be radio buttons) * Sort / filter for length would be great, and I think shorter names should also be preferred with relevance sort * Filter for spam quality would also be good I also did searches for "appstore", "movie reviews" and "science fiction movie reviews". Irrelevant results were a big problem also here, worst for "science fiction movie reviews", which returned only irrelevant domains in the first results. Brandable Domains, SEO Powerhouses, High-Traffic Domains, Invest Opportunities need filters of course

@konrad_sx First off, thank you SO much for taking the time to test and share this detailed feedback! I'll try to be concise and answer all of the questions + give some context for people reading along. Regarding the relevance: we’re searching among expiring domains usually set to expire in the next month (couple of millions at any given time). That’s why very specific queries like “science fiction movie reviews” or “search engine for mobile apps” won’t always yield a large pool of perfect matches. It depends a little bit on what domains are expiring, but I can clearly see what you are experiencing and I'll add your examples as a test case for finetuning. Also, by default, Magic Search only shows 3-star (and higher) domains -> you can disable the filter to see 1–2 star domains that might match your keywords more closely but aren’t considered “interesting” by our scoring (for example, they’re only 1 year old, are too long, have numbers, have fewer backlinks, ...) For broader searches, we’re currently working on letting you search through domains that expired in the past and are dropped (so they are currently available to register), which should be a better fit for your use case. Quick rundown on your questions: - Relevance sorts by how closely a domain matches your query - we're debating whether this should be an extra column with an indication of match strength - Top picks sorts by star rating (we’ll rename it for clarity) - Star rating is our own metric, factoring in domain rating, age, name length, hyphens, spam signals, TLD, and more - We hear you on the filters (length, spam, etc.) and will bump them up in priority. Thanks again for sharing these insights. I truly appreciate it!!

@nickvanderhoven Thanks for your detailed answer. I understand regarding the relevance. This should be better documented. And I think you should still try to remove clearly irrelevant results. I think it makes more sense if a very specific query returns few or even zero results than if it returns hundreds of irrelevant results. Looking forward to your planned improvements!

@konrad_sx Totally agree. In some ways, it's hard to decide what the user will find relevant for their use case. We might include a relevance filter or a value slider to broaden or narrow the results. We’ll brainstorm a bit and see what we can come up with! Also: if any new features come to mind, don’t hold back :)

Wow, such a helpful tool! I used to have a list of 10+ terms (still incomplete) related to my main area and had to sift through lots of unrelated expiring domains. Makes so much sense to filter them in a better way. Neat!
