**What inspired you to build this:** The rise of coordinated misinformation campaigns and sophisticated psychological manipulation tactics online made it clear that people need practical tools to identify when they're being manipulated. Traditional media literacy education doesn't scale, and most people lack frameworks to systematically evaluate content they encounter daily. **Problem being solved:** People consume content without recognizing emotional manipulation, propaganda techniques, and engineered narratives. They lack a structured methodology to assess whether what they're reading is attempting to influence them through psychological operations rather than inform them. **How the approach evolved:** Initially considered building an educational resource, but realized people need real-time analysis while browsing. The scoring system emerged from research into documented propaganda techniques and psychological operations. Started with 10 indicators, expanded to 20 after testing showed users needed more granular evaluation. Added multilingual support when realizing manipulation tactics are global. Social sharing features came later to enable viral spread of media literacy awareness. The one-click analysis approach came from feedback that multi-step processes would never get used consistently. The color-coded scoring system makes results immediately interpretable without requiring users to understand each manipulation tactic in detail.
