As someone that has taught courses in person and through Zoom, I can say this is a brilliant idea. It simplifies the process of having to piece together lots of tools and the live cohort-based style makes the classes so much fun! And now, living in a pandemic, U opens up jobs and side hustles to all! I’m excited to launch a bootcamp in the near future and glad to be part of the founding team of this journey.

Thanks @kevin for hunting us. 👋 We believe creators are the professors of the future and envision a world where the value of their knowledge and special skills can be unlocked, and surfaced to curious individuals. Many of us cannot afford computer science degrees at top universities or a $15K-$25K coding bootcamp. Wouldn’t it be cool to learn how to code from a software engineer at Google or Facebook, for a few hundred dollars instead of $15K? MOOCs (massive open online courses) such as those offered by HarvardX, MITx and Udemy for instance, have a very low completion rate of only 3% to 6%. Their asynchronous format makes it hard for learners to stick with it long enough to see results. This launch is our first public beta release and we’re looking forward to building in public with your feedback. Let’s teach the next billion people.

Very cool project. Opening online courses is a great way for dev creators to monetize their audience and pass on the knowledge. There are many relevant groups on Clubhouse interested in these tools. Consider that channel. I might be able to help. ?makers

Love the concept. I've bought some Udemy courses myself that I never finished. 🤦‍♂️ How much does it cost?
