@botinspaceΒ Hello, first of all, congratulations on a truly excellent project. I have a question: How did you mathematically model the micro-pauses and delays between keys that are far apart to reflect human naturalness? And, for example, when the letters βaβ and βmβ are pressed in succession, will there be the same delay?
@emresslanΒ Hey, thanks so much, really glad you like it! π
Honest answer: there's no per-key modeling, so "a"β"m" gets the same base delay as "a"β"s". The naturalness comes from rhythm instead: a base delay from your WPM with Β±5% jitter, short bursts followed by micro-pauses, thinking pauses at word boundaries (log-normal, so mostly short with the occasional long one), and typos with a "wait, oops" beat before the fix. It all fades toward mechanical as you approach 120 WPM.
It's also on purpose: the goal is typing that looks human in demos and recordings, not typing that's statistically indistinguishable. It's not meant for getting past captchas or bot detection.
Distance-aware timing is a fun idea though, I might look into it. Thanks for the question!
