Really useful app, especially now that I can add PDFs and the like directly from my email. I initially downloaded TWASME because I was moving house and kept losing track of all the various account numbers and bills and bank statements I needed. So many of these things were only on paper, but the built in document scanner made it easy to get everything digitised. It worked like a charm, but the app really came into its own afterwards when I got into the habit of just storing everything in it. Now it’s my one-stop shop for getting my life together! No more putting people on hold while I scrabble through old emails or dusty filing cabinets, desperately trying to track down my last paycheck or trawling old text messages for my great-great auntie’s birthday. Now it’s just Family > Auntie > Date of Birth, done. Can’t fault the design of the app, either. Everything makes sense at a glance and there’s a lot of nice little features you might not notice straight away. Long presses bring up all the options you could ask for and (a nice touch, this) a long press on the ‘back’ button in the top left will always take you right back to the dashboard. I’d appreciate the ability to change the colour scheme, but it’s clear the devs are focusing on getting the software perfect first. I’ve never yet seen a bug that hasn’t been fixed by the next update. Like I said, I just got this app to make my move easier, but the app’s so flexible it’ll store pretty much anything you need it to. If you’re willing to spend a few minutes getting it up to speed it becomes so much easier to just snap a quick pic of important documents as and when they come in, say goodbye to the barely-organised pile of old letters and hello to your whole life at your fingertips. Someone should have made this a long time ago!

Hmmm.. I did not get a lifetime subscription. I actually got a warning to get one. Advise? Cheers.

@lyondhur Hey - Please be assured that everyone that signs up in the month of January will be granted a free lifetime subscription. If you enter the subscription page today it will show something less that 60 days remaining and will count down. A process will be run at the end of the month to award the lifetime subscriptions at which time your subscription will correctly show as lifetime and the options to purchase will be removed. There is nothing you need to do to activate this.

@graeme_bryce1 cheers Graeme.

@lyondhur Hey, We have released v 4.3 of Twasme as it was a big update - hope you are still with us and that Lifetime subscription still applied. Happy to hear any comments you may have on the update. There is an Ask A Question button in the app or of course your can feedback here.

This is the official "soft" launch of this product. We already have around 2,500 users from a beta launch last year and we are now giving FREE PREMIUM lifetime access to all users that join through to end January 2019. The app is available on Android and iOS for both phones and tablet. It's really all about saving the important stuff that passes through email, chat etc and filing it in ways that make sense to YOU. You can add additional values to any entry and some of those values are "smart" so dates bubble up to the calendar and money amounts can be summarised at the folder level. The entire team are extremely excited to have reached this milestone launch and we are very keen to receive feedback that will inform the immediate roadmap as we seek to make the product as valuable as possible to all that use it.

I really love what I'm seeing in the #TWASME app! Great work on making it - thanks @graeme_bryce1 😉 Super interested in the lifetime access to this as I intend on getting my entire lifecycle of paper docs into digital - would make an exciting experiment 😄 Does the app sync offline activities into the account once back online? How does that work please and on the product infra side of things - how is storage handled?
Graeme Bryce
@angeloe Glad you are impressed and I look forward to understanding more. Your lifetime subscription will be automatic as long as you have signed up before the end of January. We are releasing a change to the user avatar badge system soon so that you will always be identified to the community as an early adopter - thanks :-) YES the data is synchronised with a cloud infrastructure. The app will use end-to-end encryption to ensure that neither the developers nor any agency or bad actor will ever be able to read the data. The root encryption keys never leave your device in an unencrypted state. This is similar in some ways to password managers. We also borrow from the learnings of WhatsApp on the encryption side. When you share a collection between yourself and another party then you are really sharing the encryption key for that collection. All the data and any documents are encrypted with each party decrypting them on the device. Finally, if you choose to login with a second device (tablet etc) then your encrypted private key is retrieved, decrypted with your password and stored on the second device. All the data is then retrieved and can be decrypted in the same way. If you are off-line at any time then the app will continue to function exactly as it would when on-line. Any new or updated information will simply be queued and synchronised in the background when a network becomes available. Of course your free lifetime subscription includes all of this and all the exiting stuff we will be adding later in the year once we have enough feedback. Enjoy

Finally I can claim I'm organised! This app has been a huge help to me for gathering all those important things at the back of my mind and on small pieces of paper and putting them somewhere sensible, I.E not In my head. I personally mostly use the app for traveling. Twasme extracts information so easily from email, messages, other apps and even scans in physical documents which makes storing flight numbers, Airbnb reservations and travel itinerary's a total breeze. At first I struggled to remember to add things to the app but once you get into the habit of doing so it becomes much easier than sifting through info stored in 5 other locations rather than just in the one place. Its surprising nothing has done this so well before, not to mention the app its self is easy to use and feels great, with some really intuitive features! My personal favourite being the sharing. Whilst planning a trip or event with other people instead of constantly wrangling them to all be on the same page with this app I can literally put them on the SAME PAGE! I just create an entry as I normally would, stick all the info we need in it and send them a share link however I want. All they have to do is click the link, it takes them straight to the page with all the info they need and I no longer have to deal with all the fuss! This app ties all the essentials into one place and really makes you feel in charge of your personal information rather than having you search for it. Great job!

This app is going to be so helpful for me, i can store practically everything i have from car insurance to passports to medical records and loads more, I love it!

Pros:

Clever, useful, interesting, and works offline

Cons:

With not having the best knowledge of technical stuff, a bit more information on how to use the App would be great.
