Hi everyone, my name is Aleksander and I'm the developer behind TransKey. The point of the app is to make it easy for the user to communicate with others, without having to worry about language barriers. You simply pull it up last-minute before sending a message, and tap 'translate last sentence'. It'll let you to replace the original text directly in the textfield, and then you can send it as you normally would. It also works the other way around. When receiving a message you can't understand, copy it to the pasteboard, pull up the keyboard, and tap 'translate pasteboard'. You'll have the same options of either just reading the translation, inserting into the textfield, or copying back to the pasteboard. It's like a translator, except it doesn't interrupt the flow of the conversation as it's integrated into the app you're using for messaging, as opposed to forcing you to continuously switch between applications. There are a few similar apps already in the App Store, but I haven't been too satisfied with them. The biggest problem for me was that you need to use their proprietary keyboard when typing, as opposed to using the one you're comfortable with (system keyboard, swype, etc.). This is still a product in development, so expect to see a lot of improvements and new features in the coming weeks. I have a lot of ideas I'd love to test out, and some of them are rather exciting! If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please don't hesitate to let me know. Either here in the comments, through Twitter, Facebook, or wherever you can find me :) Hope you try it out, and let me know what you think!
