I lead product at Tradesy -- happy to answer any questions for the PH community! We launched a little over two years ago, so we weren't hunted when we launched-- I'm thinking the fact that we're on here today has something to do with our funding announcement yesterday :). For those of you who aren't familiar with the product -- we're a marketplace for fashion, and our focus is the customer who has just a few items in their closet that they rarely or never use (which is just about all of us). Since these users aren't professional sellers, we aim to remove as much friction from the process as possible. This philosophy of offloading work and complexity from the seller and shifting it onto the system manifests itself from start to finish -- we clean and enhance the main photo of each listing, we suggest pricing for listings, and when items sell we send out a pre-paid shipping kit that includes packaging materials and a shipping label, so all the seller has to do is drop their item in the box and hand it to the postman. Our vision for the future is that if we make it dead simple to sell items you're no longer using, then people won't hold on to the things that they're no longer using, and every product will have multiple owners in it's lifetime.

I think everyone has the problem of a closet full of items you don't wear anymore. Sell em off here or donate em!
