I got fed up tracking job applications in Notion so I vibe-coded ✨ and built a tracker. And now, I’d like to share it with the job-hunting community. https://trackyourjob.app is a simple tool, where you can track a job application in a Kanban-style board, by simply using a job url. You connect your Google Drive to store all the data. The app doesn’t store anything besides name, email and necessary tokens. Your application data is in your control. You can even store resumes and cover letters safely within the app. 📁 I built it on a modern, free, and, mostly open-source stack. React + Vite for a fast, lightweight front-end Radix UI for accessible, polished components Node.js with integrations for Supabase and Google Drive GitHub + Vercel handling clean code and smooth deployments I built it using Codex, ClaudeCode and Github Copilot in VS Code, and also used Cursor for some bits. 🤖 How was that experience, you ask? As I read once on LinkedIn, it was like working with an enthusiastic developer who is eager to write code, but doesn’t really understand the assignment all the time. As the product owner, the impetus is on you to direct the AI developer to success and ask the right questions and provide clear instructions. It was also a good exercise to describe the user experience in precise words, a challenge one faces when they have to simplify complex scenarios to drive clarity. 🤔 Next steps for me: Now that the scaffolding is ready, I want to work on adding some more features and improve the user experience, clean up the visual design, and most importantly, make it mobile ready. 🫡 So what now? Feel free to use it for your own job search if you find it useful, or share it with someone who is currently going through it. 🫰 Try is it out here, and I am all ears to learn about your experience. 🙏 https://trackyourjob.app
