Track Manual is the complete auto racing and track day resource for first-timers, hobbyists, and aspiring race drivers. Our goal is to make motorsports more accessible by showing that it can be affordable, safe, and incredibly fun.
👋🏼 Hey Product Hunt,
Many people here are car enthusiasts and racing fans - probably a lot more than before thanks to F1: Drive to Survive. However, most of you probably never considered trying out motorsports yourselves.
And why would you? It's expensive and dangerous...or is it?
Kent and I are car-lovers and track drivers. After spending a lot of time on our cars, HPDEs, and track days, we came to the realization that getting into motorsports doesn't have to be risky or unaffordable - provided you're equipped with the right info. We decided to create Track Manual to share this info with the world and help fans turn into players.
We cover:
🏎 Signing up for an event
🏎 Prepping your car
🏎 Equipment you'll need
🏎 Safety
🏎 Skills
🏎 Racetracks
🏎 ... and much more!
Track Manual is going to be free forever. It's mostly a guide right now, but we aim to turn it into a dynamic online HQ for motorsports. We hope you find it interesting and useful, and please let us know if you have any feedback or questions.
Great portal @michaeldeng! I've been doing sim racing for quite a while and learned a lot there. But I'm interested in track days, so your Manual gives a lot more info much needed. I'd recommend potentially adding clubs and tracks from other countries as well. I'm for example in UK.
@florin_biro Thanks for the feedback! We will add more clubs and tracks, as we started with just local CA ones we were familiar with. Appreciate the love from the UK! Brands Hatch has a special place in my heart from driving it so much in video games.
