Hey everyone! Excited to release my app "Tolks" on PH. I created this platform originally for educational purposes, to be used in another side-project. But I realized it could be used in far more areas like news, fun, entertainment etc. Tolks lets you quickly put any talk/story/scene/conversation online by simply adding your characters and writing few dialogues for them. The use cases for this platform are numerous. - To write visual stories for kids. Imagine Panchatantra tales written with this with sounds and all. - Like @bentossell mentioned, for user/employee onboardings. - For fun things like paraody, conversational memes, jokes etc. - Educational content to explain various concepts. Imagine JavaScript and TypeScript talking there :) Really excited to hear feedback from you all :) And yes, can't wait to see some gr8 Tolks created there...tweet them out to @tolksio

@chinchang457 Really interesting space that Hardbound is touching on too. Information consumption in a new, interactive way that allows it to be easily digestible. Would be interesting to see this converted to things like onboarding, employee handbooks and things like that too. I think there is something really interesting there.

@bentossell Thanks for your words Ben. Definitely, the potential of this app is very big. Imagine things like speach synthesis attached or camera capture :)

Great idea, embed (on website) will be a good feature
kushagra gourMaker@chinchang457 · Frontend craftsman at Wingify
@tahaqadri True. Its somewhat supported even now as a hidden feature :) Just open a tolk inside an iframe and it shows in embed mode. Will add that to UI as well soon.

Hey Kush. Amazing concept. Loved it. Question: where are you using the characters from? Or have you designed it yourself?
kushagra gourMaker@chinchang457 · Frontend craftsman at Wingify
@sankalpdomore Thanks! Some made and some free to use vectors.
