I just hit play so I can't review it yet, but personally, this episode is teed up to be a home-run. I read @ryanholiday 's books, Obstacle is the Way and Trust Me, I'm Lying, last year and while very different they both really great reads. I've also been studying Stoicism for the past year, and if it wasn't obvious enough, both the recommendation of the books and the interest in Stoicism came about through other Tim Ferris Show episodes.

And now I'm realizing this is a year old, which makes sense. Still a good listen though.
@alexcartaz As the guy in the show, I can answer: Stoicism is an ancient philosophy--or rather a practical philosophy--designed around the fact that we live in an inherently unpredictable world. Instead of focusing on arcane questions or academic inquiries it's intended to help you answer questions like: What does the good life look like? How do I achieve it? How do I deal with the stresses of life and other people?
I did a post a few years ago on Tim Ferriss's website that is explained stoicism specifically for entrepreneurs, that might be a good place for people to start: http://fourhourworkweek.com/2009...
