Hey PH! 👋
I've been spending way too much time obsessing over keyboard sounds, tiny animations, and making typing feel just a little more satisfying.
The result is Thock.
It's still evolving, so if something feels weird, breaks, or you have an idea, let me know. I'll be fixing and improving things as feedback comes in.
Hope you enjoy it! ⌨️☁️

The typing sounds are genuinely satisfying, but it would be great to have a few sound customization options like a tactile bump mode or a quieter linear switch preset so you can match the feel to your mood.

@arasyuvacmgjw Thanks so much for the feedback, Aras! I love this idea. Adding switch profiles (like tactile bump or quiet linears) is definitely on the roadmap to let people customize the soundscape. Stay tuned for updates! ⌨️☁️

would love to see different switch types you can toggle between, like linear vs tactile vs clicky, so you can actually feel the difference and figure out what you like before spending money on a real board

@narinjpyw I absolutely love this use case, Narin! Using Thock as a quick test drive before dropping money on a physical board makes total sense. Adding a selector for linears, tactiles, and clickies is high on my to-do list for exactly this reason. Stay tuned, and thanks for trying it out!

finally a site that gets the little details right, the key travel and sound feedback actually feel weighty and convincing. wish more demos cared about the tactile feel

@cemreb6dj Thank you so much, Cemre! I really wanted the key travel and sound to feel like they had actual weight to them rather than just being standard web triggers, so hearing that you noticed those little details means a lot. Truly appreciate you checking it out!

love the sound design here, the thock feedback is super satisfying. one thing that would take it further for me is letting users pick between switch profiles so i can feel a linear vs tactile demo side by side. would make the comparison way more convincing when friends ask which board they should buy.

@emirhankkat3g4 Thank you so much, Emirhan! Using it as a tool to show friends the difference between linear and tactile side-by-side is a brilliant use case. I’m actually working on adding switch profiles next, so hopefully, it makes those recommendation sessions a lot easier for you soon! 🙌

Love how snappy the sound is, feels really satisfying to type on. One idea: add a small settings panel for users to pick their preferred key sound profile or switch between different switch types. Would make the experience feel even more customizable and fun to play around with.

@akarakozak43946 Thank you so much, Aydın! Really glad you love the snappiness of the default soundscape. A settings panel for swapping switch types is actually a massive piece of feedback I'm seeing today, and it's officially at the top of my roadmap. Can't wait to get it out there for you to play with!

finally a website that doesn't feel like typing on a laptop membrane, the thock on each key press is genuinely satisfying and the visual feedback makes me want to keep writing just to hear it again.

@bulemqtmo Thank you, Buğlem! I spent a ton of time trying to nail that loop where the visuals and the 'thock' bounce off each other perfectly, so hearing that it makes you want to keep writing means the world. Appreciate you trying it out!
