@AnilDash and @ginatrapani launched their startup ThinkUp last month. Not sure how we missed it on Product Hunt. TBH, I'm confused about what it does from the homepage. Anyone have insight?

Hey! First, my cofounder @ginatrapani and I did launch ThinkUp last month, thanks for letting folks know. (We've deliberately been taking our time in getting the word out about it.) ThinkUp is, put simply, a better way to do online analytics if you're *not* just trying to do ecommerce. While there are tons of tools for big brands, ThinkUp is designed for regular people, to tell you what matters and what's working in your activity on Twitter and Facebook (and other networks coming soon). You can see it in action on Gina's account: https://ginatrapani.thinkup.com/ ThinkUp costs money: It's $60/year for a membership. We don't yet have a free trial or monthly billing, but those are coming soon. Also, the whole platform is open source, so if you want to just run the code on your own server, you can grab it off GitHub, at the link posted above. Lots of our members find their favorite way to use ThinkUp is getting a daily email with all the little insights that it's found for them each day, and we have an API for creating those insights coming soon. Thanks for jumping in, @anildash. I remember reading your essay, All Dashboards Should Be Feeds, ~year ago when I was rethinking our dashboard and analytics presentation at PlayHaven. I completely agree that too many dashboard designers optimize for sexy over useful. At the end of the day, people want to know how to use this information to improve their product (increase engagement, monetization, etc.). Providing raw data without context, recommendations, and guidance often fails to accomplish this or puts the work on the user to understand how to interpret and act on that. (Sorry that was a mouthful) How does ThinkUp provide actionable insights and do you have any examples/use cases to share?
