This book drastically changed my understanding of autism. Written by Naoki Higashida in 2005 at the age of thirteen, and translated into English in 2013, Higashida used a computer keyboard and Japanese character grid with a communications facilitator to share his view of the world. I would highly recommend this book for anyone curious about autism or those who are close to someone on the spectrum.
