Though this book is steeped in excess and notorious rock stories, it also delves quite deeply in the seedy underbelly of the music business in the '80s and '90s. A lot of the major label machine is described in detail (in band members' own words) and is worth a read for anyone looking to understand the behind-the-scenes dynamics of the music business at that time.
