The Dinner by Herman Kock is the one of the hardest to categorize books I've read in a while. It weaves characters worthy of literary fiction into a psychological thriller that will make your skin crawl and your soul itch. Oh, and the entire story takes place during a single meal at a fancy restaurant in Holland.
