Looking great! I worked on an internal tool for a big enterprise similar to this to enable employee discovery. They invested a fair amount of time into maintaining it so it's great that you're building something that works off the shelf! The employee directory was particularly useful when you crossed a team boundary e.g. you'd find yourself in a meeting with someone in a different dept and want to know who they are or where in the office they sit. I wonder if that cross-team functionality is scratching a different itch to status updates though, which happen within teams, and for which teams often choose their own tools. Either way, looking great!
