What do you think? …

LukeD
I'm the founder, feel free to ask questions :-)
Jack Smith
@lukedvs how is it different to iDoneThis, other than having some questions bolded vs 1 question?
LukeD
@_jacksmith You named it. We focus on structure and detailed questions in our reports. It's also possible to set up complex reporting structures. The guys at iDoneThis are doing a great job (I love their reply function) and I used it for a while, but sometimes I thought there should be more specific questions/answers and reports.
Jack Smith
@lukedvs ok; so like a mix of idonethis and 15five
LukeD
@_jacksmith Exactly!
Nabeel Hyatt
Love the variable frequency, I'm curious if you could continue to lower the barrier to engagement by simply making people able to reply by email via having to click through.
LukeD
@nabeel Good point! We integrated form fields in the emails, so team members can just enter the form and submit it directly from the email (unfortunately this function is not working on every system and in this case a click through is required). A reply-function is hard to realize, because you need to extract the answers from the email. Every team can have different questions and everybody answers emails in a different way (some people reply with one piece of text above or under the original mail, others are placing their replys next to the quoted questions) so it's not that easy :(
Nabeel Hyatt
@lukedvs Yes, using form fields was an interesting approach but just not very universal as you mentioned. Making it a simple reply, yet allowing for the flexibility you want in different questions and answers, is indeed a key product problem. Especially when native reply on mobile doesn't really lend itself to inserting text in-line of the quote, they actually usually hide all the text once you hit reply! A good challenge to try and think through though. Perhaps something like "Please number your responses" and then testing adherence? Either way, good luck and all the best.
Jack Smith
@nabeel have you tried iDoneThis? this is basically their product (pretty much invisible, designed to be used via email first)
LukeD
@nabeel Thanks for the numbers idea...we will check this.
Özgür Alaz
@lukedvs Will it be free? What is your monetisation plan?
LukeD
@ozguralaz A basic version is and will be free. We want to monetize with paid subscriptions (http://www.teamreporterapp.com/p...).
Bernat Fages
@ozguralaz they offer paid plans http://www.teamreporterapp.com/p... EDIT: Oops, was 6" late ;-) @lukedvs

All you need to do is set-up the daily (you can specify the frequency yourself) report, input a few questions that you want updates on, like “What did you accomplish today?”, “What will you do tomorrow?” and “What obstacles are impeding your progress?” and it will be automatically sent out each day. All team members can then quickly fill out the short questionnaire each day. The system then collates responses and delivers a complete status report on everyone’s progress .

@kwdinc reminds me of iDoneThis cc @smalter
julieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Awesome. In the same realm as minutes.io, but used after the meeting and when recapping work done. @lukedvs any plans to group things into Sprints, with a kick off overview at the top? A bit like minutes.io, but more to this purpose than simply taking minutes.
LukeD
@thejulielogan i'd love to hear more about this idea. Please send me an email with more details :) luke@teamreporterapp.com

Just sent this to my manager for some beta testing. Will it blend?

This app is dead. The website suggests Basecamp as an alternative.
