Hey hunters! Thrilled to be here! I would like to introduce you Tack : a simple mobile application to interact with your local communities. Tack acts like a local bulletin board in your area by showing the most recent posts from other users nearby. Not only your neighbourhood, but also in your company, in your campus or at your favorite spot. We built Tack because we found difficult to communicate with people in our local area and local communities about what is going on. It is as simple as choosing your location, taking a picture, saying a few words and publishing it for other users to view and comment on. Tack is your link to discovering who and what is happening in any place at any times. Headlines : - See what’s happening around you - Increase or decrease the number of posts in your newsfeed by moving the radius bar - Find trustworthy local resources, such as babysitters, plumbers, and dentists - Get assistance in finding lost pets and missing packages - Explore new areas through others shared experiences - Advertise your business or services to your location and attract more customers - Browse and follow other locations and communities - Be a local everywhere Tack team is based between Paris and SF by a group of entrepreneurs who have a passion for creating meaningful online and local communities. Find us easily by typing www.gotack.co in your mobile browser. We love feedback! Take a look and let us know what you think. Thanks!

@bouazizalex Thank you Alex, all your feedback while we built the product was very appreciated and help us build something very intuitive and very simple :)

Nice one, I've been trying several similar apps but always found myself going back to FB group for meeting people/ asking tips. Creating as much value as a local Facebook group is a big challenge. Good luck for that David, I'll for sure give it a try!

@jordansuccar Thank you Jordan! Indeed the "local social mobile" is a pretty big challenge - I think one of the most difficult in the customer landscape for the next year. For us, the main difference with Facebook groups is the fact that because of your geolocalisation you are directly into a local group of people around you. And that without joining thousands of groups on FB. For example, today if I want to be part of the "San Francisco" group, I'll find maybe 100 groups but nothing centralised :)
Is there a way to check-in at these places like Foursquare? It would be cool if it would show a pic of the place when sharing on Twitter
David BellaicheMaker@david770 · Co-founder of Tack App
@esbvn Hi Esteban, if you want to "check-in" in a place, you need to choose the place first and then write something here. We try indeed to get contents at places and not only a list of person. Regarding the sharing feature on twitter it's actually something we thinking about :) Thanks you for your feedback!
@david770 Awesome, thanks!
