Transparent Swiss job board for Software Developers

One year ago, I started working on SwissDev Jobs - a transparent job board dedicated for Software Developers. It took a month to get the 1st version running and many iterations to get to the version that I am comfortable sharing with the Product Hunt audience.

πŸ‘‹ Hi hunters! Today I am sharing with you my 1st product πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰ I came up with the idea when I decided to change my last job (I am a Software Developer myself), and was completely frustrated with existing job boards: 😟 Most of the postings are actually from recruiters and headhunters that will sell you to whatever company pays the most 😟 The job descriptions are mostly just a random bunch of buzz words 😟 It's really hard to find the important information, like methodologies and tech stack (StackOverflow is pretty close to it, but still not enough) How do you solve such a problem? By building your own job board, of course! πŸ› οΈ SwissDevjobs.ch focuses mainly on transparency of job postings. All of our listings are standardized, that is, we force companies to use specific format of a job posting, which means you always know what to expect before opening an offer. From every company, we require information about Salary, Technologies, Methodology, Key Requirements, Benefits and Description of a job or a company. User experience is the priority. Right now, if you are looking for a job in a specific programming language and a specific city you can get from main site to relevant offers in just... 2 clicks! ⚑ If you want to be more precise about results, you can use the "Filters" tab, where you can specify the size of the company, its type, required languages and experience level. Always open for suggestions! There is also a map with all the job postings - this way you don't have to google-map every interesting position - neat! Oh, and one more thing! There are no recruiters involved. 0. By clicking "Apply" you send all of your data directly to the company from the job listing. We managed to get over 150 companies on board - even the ones that couldn't afford to post on the bigger job boards. Currently, we have over 250 active job postings. πŸš€What are the plans for the future? Currently, we are very niche by being present only in Switzerland, but there are plans to expand to other countries in the future (if you are interested in moving to Switzerland you should check this post: https://swissdevjobs.ch/blog/how... We are also very open to your feedback - tell us what frustrates you in the job search process, and what we could improve?

How do you get accurate salary estimation?
Greg Tomasik
@jakub_muniak Good question - salary estimations are provided directly by the companies. It wasn't easy to get them to provide this information (particularly, because in Switzerland you do not speak about money) but in the end we have been able to convince them.

I really like SwissDevJobs.ch because it is the best Tech Job Board in Switzerland. There are many more Job Boards here for Tech / IT but they are old-school and missing the practical filters like for the Stack. I check their newsletter for new JS jobs every week, not because I wan't a new job, I check it to find some other cool Tech companies in Switzerland :)

Hi @gregtomasik, Thank you for really useful service and it has modern design. Do you have in the plans also add remote jobs? My team is interested in collaboration remotely and I think that Switzerland is also open for it.
Greg Tomasik
@yuriy_nakonechnyy1 remote jobs are very rare in Switzerland - only a few companies offer them here. In that case I would suggest checking out https://remoteok.io from @levelsio
