Hey Product Hunt! 👋

I'm Gonzalo, Head of People at a renewable energy company in Spain. I built Susana because we had a real problem that existing solutions didn't solve well.

🎯 THE PROBLEM

When we scaled from 14 to 160 employees, Spanish labor law (RDL 8/2019) became a real issue:
- Digital time tracking is MANDATORY
- Fines can reach €187,515
- Inspections happen without warning

We explored 3 different HR platforms: Factorial, Personio, Sesame HR and many other HRIS .. but They all had the same problem: I just wanted time tracking and they offer you a big solution that as an startup we dit not need yet.

Why? Because these are full HRIS systems. They're powerful, but for a small tech team, they're overkill. We didn't need org charts, performance reviews, or document management. We just needed time tracking and vacation management.

And we definitely didn't want to force our team to open ANOTHER app every single day.

Our team use Slack for everything:

- Daily standups
- Project Management
- Internal calls via huddle

Why make them context-switch to a separate app just to clock in?

✨ WHAT CHANGED WHILE BUILDING

Initially, I thought we'd build a simple time tracker. Just /fichar (clock in/out) and that's it.

But while talking to our team, I realized:
- Vacation requests were equally painful (email threads, spreadsheets)
- People wanted autonomy (check their own balances without asking HR)
- We (HR) wanted simplicity (approve in Slack, not another dashboard)

So Susana became two things in one:
1. **Time tracking** (mandatory compliance)
2. **Vacation management** (quality of life)

Both in Slack. Both autonomous. Both simple.
