Surveyor-64 transforms your real-world travels into an unlock-able map, letting you visualize everywhere you've visited through a beautiful interface. Built for explorers who want to gamify their adventures, compete with friends, and never forget a trip.

A couple years ago I had an idea: I wanted to “unlock” the world map in the real world, just like in a video game.
Nothing I found had exactly what I wanted: discrete tiles, a beautiful interface, the ability to compete with friends, fun completion stats, and background tracking that’s truly out of the way and gentle on battery. Surveyor-64 turns everyday movement into progress. A coffee run unlocks a few street-level tiles. A weekend walk unlocks some more. A road trip un-paints an entire region. Over time, you build a personal, living atlas of where you've been—tile by tile.
Why you might love it:
- Unlock the map at three levels: street, neighborhood, and region—so quick errands and epic trips both count.
- Compete with friends: see who’s leading on the tiles you care about, compare progress, and cheer (or chase) each other on.
- Completion stats: a fun collection of statistics which give you perspective on how much world there is to see
- Background tracking that stays out of your way: designed to be “set it and forget it,” with battery optimizations so you can explore without micromanaging.
- A beautiful interface: nostalgic and retro—built to make your progress feel satisfying at a glance.
If you install it today: try a short walk and watch your first tiles fade away. Then invite a friend to your leaderboard and see who can fill the map faster!
This is a solo project born from a simple desire: I wanted this product to exist. If it resonates with you, I’d love your feedback, your bug reports, and your wild feature ideas. Ask me anything!
