Create charts with <๐ > styled components. A react lib built with TS and almost no dependencies (no d3 and all this stuff). Import some default chart components as Bar, Path, BarGroup, restyle them and add back to the chart ๐-> profit.

You need to figure out who is your target audience, developers or designers. This will help you make your UX better.
I would encourage you to explore an option of creating a gallery of different color swatches and templates that creators can share.
Next, create NPM satellite packets for D3, Rafael, Pixi, etc. and you'll have a much better chances of people using your charts and designs.
At the end, make sure to publish a benchmarking article on the performance of your library and in what use cases your library is a much better choice than other top players.
