Hey ProductHunters! 👋 In June, we launched Steer with @vojta_bohm. Our mission is to reduce the effort needed for business communication. We do this by using the latest frontier AI language models and providing an easy way to access them in any app and website on your computer. Steer works in any language, making it a great tool for non-native professionals. We got the #3 Product of the day and even more importantly a bunch of users and relevant feedback. We worked hard to make the product better and here we are again with two major updates: 🪟 Windows app - we started on MacOS and now we're bringing the same experience to the OS dominating the market 🆓 Freemium - users now get 10 fast requests each day and then the rewrites only slow down, but you can still use Steer for free Besides that, we also bring another quality of life updates: 💡 Advanced Improve - Steer now analyzes your writing style, tone and goal to provide even better rewrites ⚡ Quick shortcuts - For the most frequent actions, you can directly invoke rephrase action without opening Steer window ➡️⬅️ Concise - A new rephrase action that shortens your messages while keeping all the important details intact, ideal for wordy users or those using dictation. We would appreciate your thoughts, criticism, roast and feedback, now even from the team Windows! 🙏

@daniel_bukac It sure was a cool journey. I have never imagined releasing an app for another operating system could be so tough..
Tony Tong
@vojta_bohm @daniel_bukac Congrats on the updates! The Concise feature is fantastic. Have you considered integrating tone suggestions that balance warm and competent cues, as discussed in book Cues: Master the Secret Language of Charismatic Communication? It could help users refine their message to be both approachable and authoritative!
Daniel Bukač
@vojta_bohm @tonyabracadabra Thanks Tony! The tone suggestions are great idea and we can fit them into the "Improve" flow!
Vojtěch Böhm
@daniel_bukac @tonyabracadabra We've created a custom thought process that looks at the message, its context, goal, and tone to make it better. So, we're already aligned with your suggestion :)
Ashit Vora
Congrats on the launch and the updates, @daniel_bukac @vojta_bohm. Have you considered integrating ti with Alfred?
Daniel Bukač
@vojta_bohm @ashitvora thank you Ashit! We have thought about integrating with both Alfred and Raycast; however, we want to keep full ownership of the whole experience and platform to make sure we can keep improving the product.
Ashit Vora
@vojta_bohm @daniel_bukac keeping full ownership of the end-to-end experience - makes sense.

Congrats on the launch, folks! I just watched your video and wanted to leave some feedback: What makes Grammarly great is that it shows you what you need to improve and leaves you the option to edit it or not. Sometimes, it makes more sense not to edit it, as the suggested option changes the meaning. So, I'd probably still use Grammarly for fixing grammar issues, but this tool definitely makes rewriting the text with ChatGPT more efficient for sure.
Daniel Bukač
Thanks for the feedback @pinar, you're right. I usually retry multiple times until I'm happy with it. One possible solution we might come up with can be that you accept or decline each change in the rewrite.
Pınar Güler
@daniel_bukac Yeah, that's a good idea!
Anton Osipov
@pinar That's a fair point. I like and use Grammarly myself, but only the web version. Not a big fan of Grammarly MacOS integration for two reasons: 1. As a designer, the ubiquitous green circle is too annoying to me. 2. As an engineer, I'm not ready to allow access to all input fields for a third-party app.
Pınar Güler
@anton_osipov That's fair. I'm also not comfortable allowing access to everything I write for a third-party app. But I couldn't find a better alternative either.
Germán Merlo
Hey Daniel! It looks like you're really changing the game of business communication making it easier than ever. Hope many founders can take the most of it. Really congrats!
Daniel Bukač
@german_merlo1 Thanks for your support Germán, really nice to hear this!
David Mokos
Been waiting so long for that update. I can finally start using Windows 🖤
Daniel Bukač
@davidmokos We specifically thought of you when releasing the Windows version 🖤

Marvelous! For an AI-generated short film tool, the script is very important. If it is used to improve the spoken dialogue and writing skills of the characters, it would be great!
Tereza Tizkova
Congrats on the launch @daniel_bukac @vojta_bohm . LFG 🔥
Daniel Bukač
@vojta_bohm @tereza_tizkova1 thank you!! 🫶
