Thanks all for the upvotes! You can choose the price you want to pay on @stayful which is like priceline, where we differ is that you can also choose the actual hotel.

Explore, find, bid on and book the best independent, boutique hotels ready to give you a one-of-a-kind experience at the price you choose. Just bid and get the price you want. You'll get your response instantly. Stayful helps you get a better price by booking in the next 30 days, helping hotels fill empty rooms.

I've only used it once, but the rate I instantly bid on was $100 below the lowest listed price on Kayak for a place in Santa Monica. Would like to see more hotels listed per city, but nonetheless, it has earned a spot in my hotel search site rotation.

@TheJoWo Thanks for posting and the feedback. We are adding hotels and new cities each week based on the feedback we get from our users. Currently people email us, we are adding an easier way to provide us feedback in the near future. We have 41 requests for Washington DC, the next city we will add.

I worked with them while building the original product, they have a really interesting thing going on and the team behind is smart & focused. Killer combo!

I like the idea and site looks great! But I decided to make a quick experiment... I tried to find a hotel in Santa Monica, for 04/28-04/29. The "regular" price was $239, the Stayful Rate was $216. Looks good. But when I checked the same hotel and dates at booking.com the rate was almost the same $203 no taxes and close to $220 with taxes. The difference is $4. BTW, does your rate include taxes?
