Stake on me

A private way to check if your feelings are mutual.

Ever liked someone but weren’t sure if they feel the same, especially when it’s a coworker, classmate, or someone you see every day? Stakeon.me helps you find out safely and privately, without awkward conversations. How it works: 1. You fill out a short form with both your and their email addresses. 2. The site sends a polite, anonymized invitation to the person you selected. 3. They can try to guess who sent it. If they guess correctly, they’ll find out. Otherwise, your identity stays secret.

Hello all. I'm Alexander - the maker of this web app.
I came up with this idea many years ago. Between other projects and life in general, it took a long time to finally finish it. I built everything myself: backend, frontend, design, even the texts in several languages. This is just a personal project - no monetization, no data collection.

What is it?
Stakeon.me is a private web app that lets you safely find out if someone you like feels the same way without awkwardness or risk. It’s made for those quiet, uncertain situations: you like a colleague, a classmate, or someone you’re professionally connected with, but you’re not sure if the feeling is mutual, and direct words might cross a line. This app helps you check it - gently, confidentially, and without anyone getting uncomfortable.

How it works.
1. You start.
You fill in a short form - your email (the one the other person might recognize) and theirs.
2. Verification.
To make sure no one uses someone else’s address, you’ll confirm ownership of your email before anything is sent.
3. Invitation.
The person you chose gets a message saying “Someone you know might be interested in you.” They’re invited to guess who it might be.
4. If they guess right, you will know.
If not, nothing happens. You never learn the result unless the interest is mutual.

This isn’t a startup or a monetized product, just a hobby project that I built for people like me: those who overthink, who hesitate, who don’t want to risk someone else’s comfort just to satisfy curiosity.
If Stakeon.me helps even a few people clear up uncertainty, I’ll be happy.

Also, fair warning: the hosting is cheap and fragile. If the wave of Product Hunters crashes it, please don’t be too hard on it.

Try it!
No login, no tracking, no cookies for ads - just a private, simple, human experience.
Try the test mode if you’re curious how it feels from both sides.

Alexander.
