Lots of news apps in the space but Spotter does some clever machine learning to get you the right content for your industry area without having to do the work of curating RSS or finding the right people to follow.
So far been pretty useful with tech news! Not sure about the relevance of other verticals -- finding fashion & photography a little spotty. But imagine that can only get better over time.

BTW I want to highlight that Spotter isn't just another entertainment news app. Spotter is designed to be the fastest way for professionals to remain informed about their competitors and industry. While working as a PM at Redfin, I was asked to stay on top of competitors and mobile launches. But because I didn't have hours to spend scouring blogs every day, I couldn't fulfill this duty. One day my manager sent an email to the team about a new product lunch before I new. And then it happened again. And again. I felt defeated. Many professionals experience this pain point. Spotter solves it.
