@_arnavkhandelwal_ Are there any plans to allow users to create private clubs?
@jude_gray Currently, we just allow public events, but soon we'll be implementing the idea of private clubs in the form of forums that users can create and post into.
We built SportsSocial to solve a problem we kept running into — wanting to play, but not having the right people to play with.
Whether it’s a quick 5-a-side match or a late-night Valorant queue, finding teammates who are available and serious shouldn’t be this hard.
SportsSocial is a platform where players can discover and join local or online sessions, find teammates in real-time, and build their own active community.
From a development perspective, this project challenged us to think deeply about:
• Keeping sessions simple yet discoverable
• Making team formation and joining feel instant
• Designing chat and group features that don’t interrupt the flow
We’re now working on the mobile app — with rank tracking, achievements, and a feed to share your proudest moments.
If you’re into sports, esports, or just enjoy exploring new tools, we’d love your feedback.

Happy to chat more about the build, design decisions, or what’s coming next.
Let’s make finding teammates as easy as pressing “Play.”

Safety and authenticity are key. What measures does Sports Social take to ensure the community remains respectful and secure?
@abigail_martinez1 We currently offer email verification via OTP and are working on adding phone number verification to further enhance community security and ensure user accountability.
What’s your strategy for building initial communities in cities where the user base is still growing? Community driven platforms often struggle with cold-start issues.
@brooklyn_campbell Great question — cold-start is definitely a real challenge for community-driven platforms.
We’re tackling it by starting in cities like Delhi and Noida by partnering with college groups and local communities. We’re also using WhatsApp and Discord to build early engagement before critical mass.
As we grow, we’ll replicate this model city by city with the help of community ambassadors.
This is a ideal way to find a team or a training partner. Are there options available for casual players as well?
@lucas_edwards1, yes, you can just add the skill level you are at or just a tag of "casual game" and all the people who are interested in the same kind of gameplay will be able to join in.
How do you ensure safety and authenticity on the platform?
Is there a verification process in place to keep spammy or fake profiles at bay?
@grayson_parker2 We currently offer email verification via OTP and are working on adding phone number verification to further enhance community security and ensure user accountability.
