@aramiggs We are launching one country at a time and so far have been able to launch in USA, Australia and India. That being said, we will prioritize Armenia and will be launching there by summer. Thank you for looking Aram.

@jaytalatia Glad to read that, waiting for the update! By the way, AFAIK, SpotOn did not receive any public investments - is it a conscious decision, or the cause of not so strong appeal to venturers? About 10 month app is on the market, but still not so many Android downloads, don't u think of looking for some funding to boost the user base? You know, the app is a lot more fun when there are many other fellow fans around. We are in Ukraine, so all soccer leagues where local teams are playing - Champions League, Europa League, Ukrainian Championship & Cup. Basketball league is also of interest.

@ivan_fazaniuk that is a great question for any start-up. We surly believe in raising external funds when we have our core product aligned with our vision. At this point in time we are mainly focused on building the right platform for our target audience. With every update, we are tweaking and improving the app and making it easier for all the sports fan to connect with each other. Stay tuned for the updates! And thank you, its great to know the leagues you are following, we will surly prioritise the Ukrainian leagues going forward.

@dannyroa Thank you for downloading and your valuable feedback. SMS permission request for Android is to Auto-Verify your user profile and make the initiation process seamless. However, rest assured we will be converting to Digits by Twitter which is already implemented for iOS and let user input the verification code manually. Hope, this wouldn't stop you from exploring the rest of amazing features SportOn has to offer.

@jeet_dattani Let me know when that happens. I avoid giving any app Read/Write access to SMS. I understand the seamless verification of phone number but I'm not willing to trade privacy for that convenience.

We ask for the one time SMS permissions to ensure that multiple, fake and spam accounts are kept out of the SportOn ecosystem and user's numbers and identity are validated. That being said, we take user privacy and security extremely seriously! That's why we've taken measures to ensure that our servers have cutting edge security checks in place and we don't store any user info that would put their personal privacy at risk. What you brought up is great and is something that we are looking to change to better protect our users. Thank you for sharing this feedback with us!
