SpendFlex is a privacy-first expense tracker built around one simple idea: financial awareness beats financial automation. Instead of connecting your bank, you manually record expenses, helping you become more conscious of your spending habits. Combined with powerful insights, budgets and forecasting, SpendFlex helps you understand your money without collecting your data.

Looks really clean, love the privacy angle. One thing i was wondering though, how does the forecasting actually work if everything is entered manually, does it just use your past entries to project forward or is there some kind of smarter logic in play?
@ulebhuu Thanks, Şule! The forecast uses the information you’ve already entered, together with scheduled recurring transactions, to estimate how your finances may evolve over the coming weeks and months. It isn’t trying to guess every individual purchase or hide the result behind vague “AI”. The goal is to give you a useful, understandable projection based on your real spending activity and the commitments you already know are coming.
How do the forecasting features work if everything is manual — do I need to log expenses on a schedule or does it pick up patterns from how I categorize stuff on my own time?
@tansuorbacogbk Great question, Tansu. You don’t need to enter expenses on a fixed schedule. You simply record them normally and categorize them in your own time. SpendFlex uses that history, together with any recurring income and expenses you’ve configured, to build the forecast. Naturally, the more representative the data becomes, the more useful the projection is, but the app doesn’t require a rigid logging routine.
The privacy angle is refreshing, but manual entry can get tedious fast. Does it have any shortcuts like importing from Apple Wallet receipts or a quick widget for logging on the go?
@arassald67902 Thanks, Aras. I completely agree that manual tracking only works if the process stays fast. SpendFlex already supports CSV imports and recurring transactions to reduce repetitive entry, but it doesn’t currently import purchases directly from Apple Wallet. A quick-add home screen widget is one of the clearest requests I’ve received from this launch, and it fits the product perfectly: keeping the intentional act of recording a purchase while removing unnecessary friction.
This is a really refreshing take on expense tracking. Manual entry makes so much sense for building real awareness. One thing that would help me stick with it: a quick-add widget for the home screen, like a single tap to log a coffee or a ride. Friction is the enemy of a habit tracker and right now opening the app feels like a lot of steps for a small purchase.
@melisrtekimejb Thank you so much! That means a lot because the "awareness through manual tracking" philosophy is exactly what I wanted to build.
I completely agree that reducing friction is essential for building a lasting habit. A quick-add home screen widget is a fantastic suggestion, especially for those small everyday expenses like coffee or transport.
It's definitely something I'll be exploring. Thanks again for taking the time to share such thoughtful feedback
