Hi everybody! First launch here 🚀WOOT WOOT! So as a developer, I use Evernote as basically a development knowledge repository. I archive code snippets, implementation notes, stack overflow screenshots, hard to remember command line commands...if its something that I'll reuse its probably stored in my Evernote account. But when I'm working in my IDE and I need to access this information repo, I always have to leave my IDE and go to the browser or some other app. I wanted an easy way to access the development knowledge archived in my Evernote account without needing to break my focus, leave my IDE, and go to the browser or some other app. Context switching was killing my productivity. So, I built a solution to my problem for all JetBrains IDEs using the Evernote API and I'm excited to share it with you all. Spellbook puts Evernote right into your development environment, allowing you to quickly search and view any notes you may need from your Evernote account(s). You can also easily add new notebooks and notes to your Evernote knowledge repo and tag them to make them easier to find the next time you need them. The goal of Spellbook is simply to keep you working in your IDE and prevent context switching to other apps just to find information you already stored. There's plenty of scientific evidence that shows that context switching can absolutely destroy productivity, particularly for very thought intensive work like programming. Once you've built a solid repo of knowledge in Evernote, Spellbook enables you to access this info and add to it, while staying in your IDE and getting work done. You can try it for free for 30 days in any JetBrains IDE (i.e. Intellij IDEA, PyCharm, WebStorm, PhpStorm, etc.), or try the ALWAYS FREE Spellbook Basic with limited functionality. Thanks for checking out Spellbook and please let me know if you have any questions or feedback. P.S. I know not everyone uses Evernote to take notes. So if you'd like to see any additional notes services integrated into Spellbook in the future, please let me know and I'll try to get them integrated.
