Soundgate Guitar Fretboard is a free interactive tool to help guitar players understand the fretboard beyond memorized shapes. Visualize scales, chords, arpeggios, and intervals, practice scale shapes across the neck, and play along with a built-in metronome and drone for ear training. No signup. No ads. Just practice.

@aren_barseghyan Hey! Quick heads-up, SoundGate’s TOS/Privacy are a solid start, but they’re still very “placeholder-level” (esp. governing law, company info, and liability scope).
Totally normal for early stage, but worth tightening before launch to avoid legal headaches later.
If you want a quick second look or help polishing them properly, happy to help.
@natalija_kerstein You’re right, they’re early-stage placeholders for now, and tightening them up is on our near-term list. Thanks as well for the offer to take a second look -that’s very kind.
Interesting new approach forcing you to see and hear the fretboard as a connected system. The drone + interval focus is especially smart. That’s usually where guitar learning tools fall apart.
No signup, no ads, straight to value. Respect.
Feels like a solid foundation for something much bigger, but already useful on its own. Looking forward to see where you take it.
@narek_parlakyan thanks a lot - really appreciate you taking the time to share this 😊
The drone + interval idea came from our own “why doesn’t this ever click?” moments on the fretboard, so it’s great to hear it landed for you.
We wanted people to jump straight in with no friction, so no signup or ads for now - just the core experience.
Glad you’re finding it useful already, and excited to keep building it further. Thanks for the support 🙌
Is it possible to use this instrument to learn?
@sensei7 yes, it can help you learn guitar, with one important distinction 🙂
This tool isn’t aimed at absolute beginners who are just starting with basic technique or first chords. It’s designed more for players who can already navigate the fretboard and want to explore intermediate-level concepts like intervals, note relationships, and fretboard awareness.
Think of it as a way to connect what you already play with music theory and ear training, rather than a step-by-step beginner course.
How does this help players really understand the fretboard
@zaib_chinioti the goal is to help players see the fretboard as a connected system, not a set of separate positions. By visualizing notes and intervals across the neck, players start to understand how shapes repeat, shift, and relate to each other.
This makes it easier to memorize shapes, move between positions, and know where you are on the fretboard at any moment - instead of relying on muscle memory alone.
