Surely this (although very useful) isn't legal?

Dear Hunter, this bookmarklet does what it says (imho it goes against artists) but it injects an iframe pointing to one of your websites. Not really fair, I think. Not even served on https, easy to spot!

@lucabobbio EDIT: Amongst other things brought to my attention I have emailed product to remove this from their list and my association through posting.
@redphx@lucabobbio Oh deary me. Well now I feel like an utter Pr*ck for hunting this. Will be requesting Product Hunt to take this down immediately. Cheer for the heads up.
This is definitely against the interest of all artists and hard working people in the music field. If an artist decided to put out their track for free download - great, but otherwise tools like this only "damage" the work of people who put heart and soul into this.
In addition, often artists put tracks for free download in exchange for a follow (or something similar) and that 1) brings joy to these guys (seeing follower count raising) 2) helps them gain popularity. Using tool like this one basically destroys one of the few ways an up-and-coming artist to create community.
I know there are heaps of tools like this extention, but does it really need to be promoted on PH?
There's a lot of hate on here for the tool, the creator and PH for "promoting" it. I'm not an authority but I have a few opinions to share.
1) It's against their terms of service of Soundcloud most likely. No getting around that. But now that that is out of the way...
2) People say it's ripping off artists. I'm hard pressed to agree with this, for a few reasons. There's enough tools out there that do exactly what this does, except this bookmarklet saves a couple steps. The person that is going to use this was likely going to get the music one way or another without paying. But this doesn't preclude them from supporting the artist in other ways, like purchasing the album, paying for the higher quality version, going to their live shows, etc. One thing that this does do is get more exposure of the music to others and people they tell about it.
3) It's pretty crap quality. Probably just fine for most people just looking for a quick playable version of the track but clearly not what you would get from buying the official digital version or physical media.
4) A lot of tracks on SoundCloud aren't available anywhere else so this can be a good stopgap until the track is officially released on Beatport or wherever. This includes live sets that will never be "officially" released.
Anyway, I find it useful and it will in no way reduce my support for my favourite artists. If anything, it'll make me love their music even more since I'll be able to play more of it. And that results in more fandom, music sales and ticket sales.
