Stumbled upon this while reading Gizmodo's article on the potential 2018 Mac Line-up and really liked the concept! From their website: Infinite possibilities. Customise your keyboard from QWERTY to DVORAK, from English to Chinese and beyond. Type emoticons to text, or create your very own keys to perform whatever command you wish. You’re only limited by your imagination. Create macros to eliminate long, complex sequences of commands to the touch of a single keystroke along with it’s own custom icon.

@lehrjulian I'm having trouble with the concept. If acquisition rumors are true I think they might use the e-ink tech, but maybe not for keyboards. Maybe I'm underestimating the population that still looks at their keyboard AND would take advantage or appreciate the premium of something like this.

@rajington I actually think there are a bunch of use cases for this, because you can create custom keys for different programs: > Photoshop short cuts > Gaming (see Ryan's comment) ( > Emojis!!!! ) etc

@rrhoover the company behind the worlds first E ink keyboard appears to have struggled making a responsive website ! I'm not sure this is a genuine product - something feels off !!

This could be super useful to people who need to type out Hanzi / Kanji.
