Hello Product Hunt! Thanks, Joonas for hunting us! I am really really excited to present our new product: snipt.dev. This product is for all software engineers at all levels. As a software engineer with a few years of experience, I often do not remember how to do something (for example, iterate over a dictionary in Python or handle an exception in a future in Scala) and end up wasting minutes looking up on Google/StackOverflow how to do it. That is why I built snipt.dev. snipt.dev is the search engine for code snippets. Put what you want to do and snipt.dev suggests code snippets to use. This first product shows our search engine for code snippets, which will be the foundation of our next product that lets developers search, create, and share snippets from their IDE. We really hope you enjoy this product as much as we do and we would love to hear your feedback! Thanks ✌

hey, Joonas! I love it 💙 Congratulations on the Launch! Is there a way to add a "Discover" page? To keep me scrolling and discovering snippets?
Julien Delange
Thanks for checking out snipt.dev! Having a "Discover" page is a great idea we should definitely implement it!
Basharath
It's an interesting idea and I love this product. All the best!
Julien Delange
@basharath Thank you for your support!
Om Prakash Shanmugam
This is cool. Congrats on the launch!
Shreya R Nambiar
Seems like it will be useful for even non-programmers who know a thing or two about it. Congrats on the launch!
Julien Delange
@shreya_r_nambiar Thank you! And yes, while we are targeting junior developers at first we also believe that can be useful to more experienced ones as we often forget simple programming techniques too (and I admit I do! 😅)

So sick! Anything to improve dev productivity just has such a huge effect. If a dev makes even $120k and you improve his/her productivity by 5%, that's $6k/yr.
Julien Delange
@francis_santora thank you, this is why we are releasing this product - saving developer time!

This context-aware StackOverflow looks pretty exciting! Congratulations on the launch, looking forward to using it in VS Code!
