Today, Facebook brought real people in a virtual world, and Snapchat brought virtual objects in a real world. 😍

@jackdweck Very cool. It'll be interesting to see if and how this generates revenue.

@jackdweck ETA on a release date for this? There's a logical next step here of integrating with Spectacles and making this a much much cooler version of Google Glass

@jackdweck What's funny about this is that they're showing it in a horizontal video when most of snapchat's focus is vertical video.

This is wild. And exactly the type of things Snap will continue to do. Their advancements in AR is probably the most consumer-friendly. (Which is the most important so far) Also love adding AR stickers to the world! πŸ™Œ

I am definitely loving Snapchat's approach to this movement. I just feel like it's more fun, easier to use and less of a stretch from our natural way of operating

@maury_rubin Not really the same. FB = alternative reality, Snap = enhanced reality. I'd prefer the latter. Actually I see this as the fundamental difference between two companies and it's like the bet on whether people will like to live in Matrix or not=)

@vsochinsky @maury_rubin Exactly. Will you buy an oculus or will just rather just use an app on your phone? I think VR will win in enterprise but AR will kill it in the consumer space. FB will prob move into AR as well though. They bet on everything lol.

@tosinaf @vsochinsky not really. FB also release AR platform for camera (Camera Effects Platform on PH). I think @maury_rubin say about it.
