Stop paying per-message SMS fees. SMSFoundry sends business SMS through your own Android phone and SIM card. REST API, delivery tracking, templates, webhooks. Your phone plan already has unlimited texts — use them. Plans from ₹99/month ($3.99).

Hey ProductHunt 👋
I'm Lohit, and I built SMSFoundry because I hit a wall every developer in India knows.
I was building a travel booking platform and needed to send OTPs and booking confirmations. But every SMS provider requires DLT registration — which requires a registered company. I didn't have one yet. I was still building the product.
Meanwhile, my ₹199/month phone plan included unlimited SMS. Going completely unused.
So I built a gateway that uses your own phone.
How it works:
1. Sign up at smsfoundry.com
2. Install the Android app on any phone with a SIM
3. Pair via QR code
4. Send SMS through REST API or web dashboard
5. Your phone sends the text. Your SIM. ₹0 per message.
What you get:
→ REST API with key-based auth and rate limiting
→ Real-time delivery tracking (queued → sent → delivered)
→ SMS templates with {{variable}} substitution
→ Webhook delivery reports
→ Multi-device support (connect multiple phones)
→ Contact management and groups
→ Web dashboard for manual and bulk sends
The cost comparison that made me build this:
3,000 SMS/month:
→ MSG91: ~₹750
→ Twilio: ~₹2,250
→ SMSFoundry: ₹99 flat
Works worldwide — not just India. Any Android phone, any SIM, any country. If your carrier has unlimited texts, your per-message cost is zero.
Built with: PHP 8 (no framework), MySQL, Kotlin (Android), vanilla JS
Free trial: 500 SMS, 7 days, no credit card.
Would love your feedback — especially from developers who've dealt with the DLT nightmare in India. Happy to answer any questions!
