Copy Multiple Things

Instead of copying one thing, pasting it, going back to copy the next thing, and repeating that tedious loop, SlotCopy allows you to copy multiple things and put them in a clean tile view. Each tile shows a quick preview, and one click inserts the copied text wherever you’re typing. It’s built for the moments you’re juggling snippets—addresses, links, code fragments, repetitive phrases, form fields, notes—so you can stay focused on your work instead of fighting the clipboard.

Hey Product Hunt 👋

SlotCopy is a tiny macOS utility I built to fix a problem that kept slowing me down: the “copy → paste → go back → copy → paste” loop when you’re juggling multiple snippets. When you’re filling forms, moving info between docs, writing emails, or reusing bits of code/links/phrases, the default clipboard (one item at a time) turns into a lot of back-and-forth and context switching.

Copy normally with ⌘C as usual, and SlotCopy captures it into a new tile with a quick preview. When you want to paste something, just click the tile and it inserts that content at your cursor—no more hunting through tabs or re-copying the same text repeatedly. You can still use classic ⌘C / ⌘V for one-off copy/paste anytime.

It’s a macOS-only app and it’s free to download from my website. One note: macOS requires enabling Accessibility permission for SlotCopy so it can paste into other apps (System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility).

If you try it, I’d love your feedback—what workflows do you use it for, and what features would make it even more useful? 🙏

This version also includes SlotScreenshot, a faster way to manage screenshots you plan to reuse. Instead of taking a screenshot and later digging through folders to find it, SlotScreenshot lets you capture into “slots” and keep your screenshots visible as image tiles, and you can drag and drop it into supported apps (like Notes, Google Doc, Slides, etc.).
