Hey all! @jorge_fuentes and I have been working on Slingshow for more than a year, and we’re so excited to launch on PH finally. Thanks, @katmanalac for hunting us! Last year, we were in YC W20, pivoting through several ideas, but then the pandemic hit. Suddenly, our cohort was just a series of monotonous Zoom webinars where we just quietly watched. We quickly lost the magic of interacting with the community – the random conversations, catching a panelist after the event, etc. We started wondering, why aren’t larger groups like webinars more interactive? Slingshow is the simplest way to create a variety of custom events where attendees are not just passive viewers but engaged participants. Think Zoom, but with a beautiful and flexible user interface that allows organizers to plan everything in advance and seamlessly flow between the typical presentation and more social and interactive formats. We heavily focused on design – not just beautiful aesthetics but how it all works together. It’s simple yet powerful, but not heavy and complicated like a conference platform. In Slingshow, we encapsulate different formats into Blocks like free-flowing networking, groups, presentations, etc. Just mix and match these blocks and add them to your schedule and we’ll automatically generate a registration page, emails, a cover image, and the entire attendee experience. Add a logo and brand color, and Slingshow will automatically theme the entire event to feel like your brand. We’d love to get your feedback. Finally, I can see a compact tool for conducting community events. Simpler than Airmeet and more advanced options than Zoom/Webex/Zoho. Is the mobile version available?

Zoom becomes quite synonym with online meetings and webinar. What's the maximum number can attend at a time in Slingshow? Will check the feature for sure.

@soma_talukdar Yea Zoom is definitely the default we are fighting against. We hope the desire for interactivity is enough to switch. And the maximum number of attendees on the default plans is 500. But our enterprise plans, our events can support thousands. Get in touch if your hosting a large event and we can offer personalized support.

@andrewthezhou We have all the functionality you would want from a standard webinar tool from registration questions and data integrations to CRMs to in event as well as full page call to actions. But, with our other social formats we let sales people and speakers actually meet attendees after the event. Imagine the jump in response rate with high value leads when you can meet them face to face.

@nilay_modi @jorge_fuentes congrats! We've always wanted to do our own webinars, but it's always seemed complex and out of our league. I love how this brings down the activation energy to the point where a smaller marketing team can run something incredibly professional. Quick question - is this mainly designed for external webinars, or if we had enough people could we host an internal event on Slingshow as well?

From generating the event page with registrations and setting up reminder emails to recordings and recurring events, we are an end to end solution. And while our focus is mostly event marketing, we have customers who use our freeflow networking and rooms to create more dynamic, all hands or internal team bonding activities. We are at our core a better way to organize and interact with large(>12 people) groups of people.

It makes sense because purchases are often a social decision and you can virtually connect to vendors like dress makers around the world. The customer is actually elsewhere in the thread(Shoutout to @arian_agrawal)
