Sizey: Aspect Ratio Calculator

Hi there, Product Hunters! 😸🌈✨ I’m Meritt—a Product Designer and maker. 👋🤓 One of my goals is to help you do your best work. I want you to be creating, not “math-ing”. So, I partnered with my friend @JoubinJ (who is a math wizard 🧙‍♂️) to make this handy MacOS app for easily calculating aspect ratios! After almost 2 years of on-again off-again work, we’re finally ready to crank up our boombox, hold it high above our heads, and shout about how much we love not doing math—with Sizey! But seriously, Sizey was born out of personal desperation. Enter the modern dilemma known as ’context switching’ (frequently alternating between tasks). Random math interruptions were killing my creative flow and making it almost impossible for me to focus on what I love—design. I knew that if I was having this problem, chances are, you were too! The truth is, as creatives, math shouldn’t be our job. You deserve the freedom to create without math getting in the way. 🦄 I hope that, not only for myself, but for all of you out there who struggle with math in your daily creative life, that Sizey can help you do a little more of what you do best—make cool shit!
