Hi Product Hunt Community! I’m Nnamdi Ekwe-Ekwe and I am the founder and CTO of Shrowze. I’m 23 and at university and this is my first product - the culmination of a lot of hard work. Shrowze is the human personal assistant you summon by text. Whatever it is you need doing, whatever it is you need getting from wherever in the world, we can sort out for you. I built Shrowze because of one question: how I (especially being a full time student) could have more time for myself and still meet the numerous commitments I had every day - a problem shared by many people the world over. To use Shrowze all you need to do is sign up, buy time, and text us your request. At the moment we’re UK based and so you’ll need a UK number to use us. However, as long as you sign up with a UK number, we can service both UK and international requests. Now, just for the Product Hunt community (and because it’s nearly Christmas), we’re giving 200 people who use the PRODHUNT2017 promo code 10% off any of our packages. Give us a try - we’d love feedback and I’m really happy to answer any questions you may have!

Great job !! Does this incur messages charges as what I see from the media ,it works on text messages... any way to combat it or make it on I message 😊

Hi @ayush_chandra - thanks so much for your question and thank you for your kind comments! So, we work via text message. We did this for two reasons - 1) anybody could then use Shrowze so it wouldn't be restricted to a particular type of phone - whether you have an iPhone, Android, Windows Phone, etc. Also, 2) sending texts are really, really cheap and a lot of the time you will never even need to pay anything for sending them. Many phone companies give plans to their users with thousands of texts included, so it made sense for us to let our users text so that they wouldn't need to spend anything when talking to us. Also, they wouldn't need to use up any of their data as well! Hope this helps - if you have any other questions - please let me know!
