Short Videos app for Bluesky

Hi, I am an indie developer @MszPro, you might know me from my other project SoraSNS (Mastodon, Misskey, Bluesky, Nostr all in one client), or my Apple Vision Pro room escape game Spatial Escape! I have more than 56 apps indie developed and published on App Store. People love browsing through short-form videos, swipe an infinite video feed, and see different aspects of the world, learn something interesting, or just laugh out loud! Using the existing code I wrote for SoraSNS about API and local ML algorithm, I quickly put together this app, which is purely focused on video browsing. This app allows the user to browse a For You feed, which contains videos curated by the local feed mixer using an algorithm. The algorithm, similar to the one in Sora, predicts a list of user interested topics, using all user actions (like, tap, browse, follow) and using Natural Language analysis. When hundreds of posts come in through API calls or streams, the mixer analyzes the content of each post to assign a score. Then, the best posts are surfaced to the user. What's unique is that this app features a dislike button directly on the interface, allowing user to provide a negative feedback to the algorithm. User can also view a home feed, which features only videos from accounts that the user follows. User can also pick or search from the vast amount of Bluesky custom feeds, to watch videos from them. For example, I am a fan of Disney parks, and I can search for that to view all videos about that! Overall, my thought is, SoraSNS already contains the video reel a few versions ago. But, people love a separate app just for the purposes of browsing videos. Plus, the feed mixer is slowing down the SoraSNS UI a little bit, so making a separate app makes the UI much faster. I also refactored a lot of code during the development of this app, and reflected them back to SoraSNS. I wish to build more client apps for Bluesky, and more apps of other categories, and more escape room games! This is the first app I released in 2025, and I hope to release at least 10 others!
