Use the Shopify Alexa app to ask your Amazon Echo for important information about your store such as orders, inventory, and store performance summaries. Whether you're sipping your morning coffee or getting ready to go to bed, Shopify's Alexa app makes it even easier to manage your store. Here's what you can ask Alexa using the Shopify app. - Business Summary - Orders and Sales Reporting - Information about your orders - List of products that need to be fulfilled - A summary of your best selling products - The average value of your orders over a period

@sethlouey this is so smart. Such a great application of Alexa — for an actually useful use case for small business owners.

@chrismessina totally agree. As a business owner myself, I'm living, breathing, and thinking about our company. Having an open home communication is definitely a bonus.

Thanks for the positive comments! The Shopify team is very happy to have our skill published and available to our merchants. This release is our step to making it even easier for Shopify merchants to manage their store using a voice interface, and we have lots more planned for the near future. Let us know of any feature requests, comments or concerns.

@mrnickchen exciting! With things like this and Kit, I can see the winning business SaaS tools are going to feel like working with another team member rather than pushing buttons

Ah wow the tech is moving very fast on this. There is a strong case for Alexa, and the fact that it isn't a phone AI. If you're on your phone, you'll be more inclined to use the phone search functionality or an app. When you're in the house, away from the phone, voice command to a house AI would a compelling option. As a Shopify partner, it's awesome to learn that Shopify keeps innovating and finding new channels to interact with merchants. Hopefully one day, an API will be available for Shopify developers to integrate their app data with Alexa. Sweet!
