Thank you for hunting us @abadesi!
We're happy to announce Shello for iOS and Android. We started Shello to create a space for women to connect and share advice in confidence about any area of their lives from a single app. From work, finances, family and relationships to travelling, gaming, fitness, fertility and everything in between.
Why just women? Well, as a tech founder since 2009, I struggled at times not having an experienced network of women to turn to for advice. Also, with limited time to do the things I'm passionate about outside of startups, joining and keeping up to date with groups across multiple platforms (Facebook, Linkedin, Meetup etc) is not an option. So I designed Shello to make life easier for busy women to crowd-source answers from a global female network around any topic at any time from a single app - kind of like a Quora for women.
We appreciate that guy PH-ers can't test the app in person but we would be grateful if you asked trusted female friends to review Shello and forward any questions or comments from them.
And I'm here to answer any questions in the meantime.

@abadesi@tcodinat Thanks Toni, so glad you like the concept. We already have a super engaged community providing value for each other so we're excited about where we can go with this.
@ubersaha The power of community is so important - connecting with like minded people is incredibly helpful as we all pursue goals in a competitive landscape. Bravo Sanchita ππ½
Thanks so much for your review Kasia. And you;re right the anonymous option is there for asking stuff that's sensitive but you know only 1 in 5 use it so far as the community as a whole is non-judgemental and I think our members feel comfortable sharing.
Wow thanks so much for your support everyone/ We're doing better than I ever imagined and in 3rd place?! Hope we can keep it that way. Thanks again.

Seems to be a lot of the same users with very little content, buggy app, and very England-centric. I feel like this is less about helping women and more about capitalizing on the idea of helping women.
Thanks for your feedback Jace. We're now starting work on building out our community but in our closed beta phase we invited members from our other community app which is mostly UK. It's true that we have some super engaged users already and as most of them joined within the last couple months we'll likely have more women reaching the same level of engagement in the near future.
I created Shello from my own needs of finding a female support network and as a free app capitalizing on the idea of helping women is really far from the truth of why I set it up. If you;d like to talk more about it you can get me on hello@shello.com - thanks.

So overall its a good app - adding value and doing something interesting for sure. I posted a question about startups and got pretty good feedback from a couple pro women and other girls starting up. My other question on travelling to Japan already got 3 replies from girls who have been there and one from someone living there already and looks like we will meet up when i get there which is awesome. So far so good - but could do better with the UX so you don't have to keep jumping between groups.
Hi Daniella thanks so much for your feedback and glad you have received some value already. Re the UX issue we are working on a new merged home feed right now to stop you having to go from group to group to catch up with the latest stuff. Aiming to have this released in the coming weeks. Feel free to drop any further feedback to me at hello@shello.com

Pros:Simple, less chance of being harassed by guys.
Cons:England-only, slow forum topics anyway.
