My journey with Screenpipe began after I finally had a system I felt comfortable with, with a collection of agents developed using Claude Code months ago.
One day I messaged Claude and said, "What if you're not here tomorrow? I need a business continuity plan"
After a few seconds of debate, lol. Claude said ok. Then provided me with a strategy to recreate my system and itself. I asked it to rank every element of my new setup and give me a percentage of its capabilities compared to its own.
Screenpipe was the one that it admitted that it couldn't compete with given its limited context memory. So I jumped in. I finished my doctorate this year as well so I took advantage of the student discount and went all in with the one time educational discount pricing. While it still wasn't cheap at $300 it has paid for itself plenty of times.
As soon as Claude or my local setup seems to have lost context I tell it to check the last X (days, months etc) of Screenpipe and it immediately has whats needed.

I built screenpipe because capable AI still loses the context of work that already happened on your computer.
The goal is simple: let the agents you already use work from that history instead of another manual recap.

@priya_kushwaha1 yep, but it's not just screenshot, you don't have to explain what you did last week or how you do your work - AI already knows and can automate your job and your team job
@louis030195 As a copywriter juggling multiple client projects, most of my "missing context" pain isn't the writing itself, it's re-explaining brand voice, past feedback, and where a draft left off every time I switch tools or come back to something after a day away. If an agent already had that history, I'd get straight to the actual work instead of re-briefing it first. Congrats on the launch, genuinely excited to try this.

@christopher_kalu thanks Christopher! I use a lot Screenpipe myself to create a database of how I write in different context so AI can write for me like emails, tweet etc without looking like slop, that's a great use case
And since it captures what you do across apps you can also automate more of your writing process / execution
Screenpipe has been so helpful for my mental wellness. As a founder, I context switch a lot and it can get really overwhelming, but screenpipe helps me stay on track. I don't have to worry about forgetting and following up on important things that come up everyday. I also like how responsive and supportive the founding team is whenever I have any feedback. Congrats on the launch.

Computer History / Second Brian that is opensource, lives on your computer /hardware and is cross harness/agent is something we desperately need as a layer.
Just like memory is a layer now we use for agents, computers history is an essential building block.
Thank you for building it. I cannot wait to give it a real spin. I’ve been using LittleBird and it’s been amazing, just always wished I had more control of the data.
