ScareHunt 2.0

Crowdsourced list of scary movies & where to stream

ScareHunt 2.0 is a crowdsourced list of the top scary movies as voted by users, and where they're available. Version 2.0 gives users the ability to save region and streaming services, then slice and dice by filtering on upvotes, genre, subgenre, IMDb rating, or release year. We also completely rebuilt on Bubble and integrated with new movie APIs.

Hey, Product Hunt ๐Ÿ‘‹ โ€“ super excited to launch a major update to ScareHunt today โ€“version 2.0! Problem: ๐Ÿ•“ It can take hours of sifting through various services just to find a scary movie to watch ๐Ÿ˜ซ. Most of us either give up, or eventually give in and watch a low-rated movie after growing tired of searching. Solution: ๐Ÿ’Ž Most of us can think of 1 or 2 lesser-known scary movies that were well worth the watch. ScareHunt 2.0 enables users to share by adding those movies and their availability, then discover new movies to watch based on what other users have added and voted on. New Features: ๐ŸŒŽ Regional support - Filter scary movies by region (i.e. Netflix (USA), Netflix (AUS), Netflix (UK), etc) ๐Ÿ’พ Save region & streaming services to your profile - weโ€™ll only show you movies that are available to you in your area ๐ŸŽ‰ API integrations with TMDb and OMDb to fetch additional movie data for better experience, discovery, and filtering ๐Ÿ‘€ Mark movies as seen - weโ€™ll hide them from search results to help with refinement ๐Ÿ”– Add movies to watchlist - so you can remember to watch them later โœ๏ธ Users can add/remove streaming services by region for movies based on where they saw it. Users can also make various other edits to improve accuracy of filtering and data Iโ€™m around to answer questions. Feel free to send any feedback my way! Thanks everybody.
